IT (Information Technology) Department

The Information Technology Department is located in the Macon County Courthouse in Franklin at 5 West Main Street. Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Mission Statement:
To support all county departments in their operations and delivery of services to the public by providing exceptional, innovative and reliable technology solutions.

The Macon County Information Technology Department provides the following services:

• Guidance and leadership in the procurement of effective computer hardware and software solutions consistent with Macon County policy and state law.
  
  
• Provide a secure, viable network and technology infrastructure to county departments.
  
  
• Support existing computer hardware and software systems.
  
  
• Implementation and support of new computer hardware and software applications.
  
  
• Assist in the development of standards, policies and procedures for hardware, software and computer usage.
  
  
• Provide information technology support to county departments.
