Information and Assistance
The Community Resource Center is a point of access for information on services for all ages.
Project Lifesaver
Project Lifesaver is designed for “at risk” individuals who are prone to wandering due to autism, dementia, or other cognitive conditions. A small radio transmitter
is worn by individuals and if needed, these transmitters can be used to locate the missing person. This program is in partnership with the
Macon County's Sheriff's Office
Home Delivered Meals
This program relies on the use of volunteers to deliver a hot lunch M-F to homebound seniors in Macon County.
The meals are prepared by a local caterer in the Franklin and Highlands area. Any homebound individuals interested in
applying for services needs to contact Senior Services. Due to the county's geography, it may not always be possible to deliver meals to some areas of the county.
Please note, these are not specialized diets and may not be suitable for all homebound older adults with dietary restrictions.
IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, LOCAL RADIO, TELEVISION STATIONS AND OUR FACEBOOK PAGE (THE CRAWFORD SENIOR CENTER) WILL BROADCAST WHETHER MEALS WILL BE SERVED OR NOT.
Congregate Meals
This program provides a hot lunch Monday through Friday by reservation only at the Senior Center. A local caterer prepares the food. In addition to a nutritionally balanced
meal, participants benefit from fellowship and social interaction. For reservations, please call us at (828) 349-2058 ext 0. Local transportation services are available through
